Information on Roundup

Due to the out-of-control population levels and property damage of local raccoons, the Edwards County Farm Bureau is going to be hosting a Raccoon Roundup Program.

The Edwards County Farm Bureau is offering $3.00 cash reward for each raccoon tail brought in!

There will be 4 separate collection dates during the season. The dates are…

November 17, 2025, December 18, 2025, January 12, 2026, and February 16, 2026.

The collection times will be from 5 PM-6PM each night at the Edwards County Farm Bureau office in Albion. The office is located at 15 S. 5th Street Albion, IL.

QUALIFICATIONS

MUST be an Edwards County Farm Bureau Member in good standing.

If using a parent’s membership, the participant must be under the age of 18, be a legal dependent of the member and show proof of residency matching the parent’s address registered with the Farm Bureau.

COLLECTION AND PAYOUT

Four Collection dates are scheduled. The following dates are…

November 17, 2025, December 18, January 12, 2026, and February 16, 2026.

Collection times are 5 PM- 6 PM.

The Collection location is the Edwards County Farm Bureau at 15 S 5th street Albion, IL.

The payout is $3.00 per raccoon tail. Maximum payout of $100 per date and per membership.

Each member is limited to 33 tails at each of the collection dates.

Anyone under the age of 18 must be a legal dependent of the member.

The bounty will be paid out in cash.

Members must show proof of their IDNR Hunting/Trapping license on their first participating collection date. The IDNR license number will be retained with our records.

The maximum total bounty for the 2025-2026 program is $3,000.00. The program may conclude if budgeted funds are expended before the final collection date.

REGULATIONS

All tails must be taken in accordance with Illinois hunting and trapping laws and regulations.
